Unique studio footage reveals the making of Something from Nothing featuring Manny Charlton (Nazareth) at his Madmento Studio in Cordoba, Spain.

Clocking in at just over two (2) hours, the music documentary Something from Nothing (2019) contains exclusive interviews, brand new music videos, rare guitar and effects overviews and never-seen-before rehearsal footage.

The film documents The Fluffy Jackets in the studio with legendary producer Manny Charlton, and details how the album "Something from Nothing" (2019) was created.

In addition to footage from the Madmento Studio in Cordoba (Spain), the film also comprises footage from band rehearsals in London (UK), interviews in Dunfermline (Manny's hometown in Scotland), pre-production sessions in Bergen (Helge's location in Norway).

"I would typically write the songs in Norway first. Then travel to the UK to rehearse with the band, before going to Spain to record guitar and vocal parts with Manny", comments Helge Rognstad; "Manny is co-credited on this album because he provided so much input; writing songs, crafting arrangements and providing guitar parts. It is only natural that both names are on the record".

Comments producer Manny Charlton: "There are a lot of different skillsets involved in making a record. Especially if you are producing, engineering, playing the guitar and trying to help write songs. The challenge is to bring out the best in people; that is what a good producer does. He tries to get the best out of the artist. And sometimes the artist does not know what that is".

In addition to capturing the "making-of" the new album, the documentary also covers the Fluffy Jackets history from their beginnings in 2006 right up to present day. The film also feature retrospective interviews with Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Black Sabbath) and Manny Charlton (Nazareth).

Bassist Neil Murray (Whitesnake, Black Sabbath) appears in the Fluffy Jackets' documentary "Something from Nothing", talking about his life and career in music.

About:
The Fluffy Jackets first appeared on the London scene with a self-titled EP in 2007, but it was not until 2014 that they made a dent in the charts with the debut album «Fighting Demons». Recorded at the legendary Sun Studio by multiple Grammy Award winning engineer Matt Ross-Spang, the outing won the Blues Hour’s «Best Studio Album of the Year» award and also earned the band their first international hit in «Why Don’t You Smile». The slow blues was made particularly memorable for featuring a sizzling guitar solo from Nazareth guitar legend Manny Charlton, backed up by bassist Neil Murray (Whitesnake) and Jerry Lee Lewis‘ drummer Rob Hall (The Killer Band). The band has just completed the anticipated follow-up. Released by Cargo Records UK, “Something from Nothing” will be available as a limited Digipack consisting of a nine track CD album and a two-hour DVD documentary film.
